flowers from my favorite florists & a new beverage cart

Over the weekend I visited my parents and noticed that cala lilies were blooming in their backyard. These lilies remind me of when I lived in the city and hated law school, and my parents would bring them to me to make me feel better. Obviously it didn't work well enough to keep me there. But I still enjoy these simple flowers which I think add freshness to any room. Here they are on our newly acquired dining table... it only took 9 months!



These pink roses also came from my parents' garden. I love the way homegrown roses grow every which way. And I love pink roses over red ones. But I love tulips the most. :) Our new beverage cart is another craigslist find and it was inspired by our love of the tv show Mad Men. Being that it's only about 3 hours old to us, it's still beverage-less and will probably remain so until we clean and polish it.



We've done a decent amount of traveling since we got married and I feel like we're finally at that "nesting" stage. I am so happy that we are finally there because I wasn't sure how much longer I could stand the mess that we were living in. We're taking it one room/area at a time and we've actually been pretty good at sticking with it. Hallelujah!
