beverage cart

Dang and I (and probably some of you, how could you not be?!) are huge fans of the show Mad Men and every time we watched it we'd want to smoke and drink. I know, that's actually a bad thing. Well, we never did the smoking thing but we did enjoy sitting down to gimlets and gin&tonics with Don Draper. Oh Don.

Anyway. I've said before that we were inspired by the show to get a bar cart of our own. I knew that was one of the must haves for our living room. We were very patient and after a few failed craigslist inquiries, we were finally successful.

We picked this one up from a couple in the Mission (SF). It's originally from Bombay Company and we got it for $50!!!!!! I know it's not polite to talk about prices of things, but I think it's okay to talk about craigslist and hidden gems. ;) The cart is actually more whimsical than I'd like but I drove all the way to SF on a Monday for it that we just had to buy it. I'm also not in love with the wine rack portion and am going to see if I can yank it off. All in all though, a really good deal from a family that outgrew its practicality.
